Is A Coffeehouse/Church Really a Church?

About Revolution Church
What began as a call to plant a church has transformed into a unique and different kind of church for Nacogdoches, Texas.   What makes us different is we want to design a space that is a coffeehouse first and then have a church function out of the coffeehouse.   Some churches have coffeehouses in their buildings, but very few have an everyday coffeehouse, designed to sell a cup of coffee, or an espresso, or a Latte, that’s also designed to be a venue for musicians and artist of all kinds.  This is where we want to do church, in the middle of the community.  Many who want to reconnect to God have a hard time going to what looks like a traditional church.  Even when a church has a very non-churchy building it is still known as a religious building and those who need God the most will stay away.  Getting disconnected people into a church building can be very difficult. Our desire is to truly be a place that people who are disconnected will feel comfortable walking into.

Our idea is to have an every day coffeehouse and music venue serve as our meeting space.  By keeping the cost of the building minimized through the coffeehouse and venue, more dollars will be free to reach out through the church to the community.  To read more about who we are see our Vision and Methods.

What’s with name Revolution?

The idea of centering our world on the things and thoughts of God is a profound thought and an even tougher goal to achieve.  But as we strive to live there, in the middle of the freedom Christ offered, we find balance in our life and others notice the light that comes from within.  Our lives, revolving around Christ, allows God to change anything and anyone through us.
